Membership Guidelines & Server Policy

Membership Guidelines

How to become a member:
1. Greet: If you have an interest in gBa, get to know us! Catch us online, either on ICQ or in our enterthegame irc channel, #gba. You can also check out our server and frag around with us! Stop by our forums at http://forums.clant2k.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=139 and introduce yourself.

2. Sponsorship: Each potential new member needs to have a current active member serving as a sponsor. Your sponsor is your primary contact person for any questions you may have, as well as your link to meeting and getting to know the rest of the members. One of our founding principles is rooted in friendship. We are all friends here, and we want to keep it that way... it's more fun!

3. Meet: Attend at least 4 gBa weekly clan meetings. Meetings are every Tuesday night at 8:30pm CST. We meet in our enterthegame irc channel, #gba. This gives all of the active members an opportunity to get to know you!

4. Vote: After your 4th weekly meeting, the active members will vote on your membership. You must secure a 100% "yes" vote in order to become a member of gBa. Voting is based on your attitude, personality, and like-mindedness with the members of the clan.

Rules of conduct for members:
· You must have (and keep) a good sense of humor. Isn't your life stressful enough outside of the internet? Let's keep it fun!
· No bad attitudes or bad sportsmanship on any servers, including our own.
· No cheating of any kind will be tolerated. Consider it the Instant Boot.

Rules for maintaining membership:
· Follow the rules of conduct.
· Remain active in clan activities, meetings, practices, and/or forums.
· Multi-clanning: Members are permitted to be in multiple clans as long as the other clan is not competing on the same ladder as gBa. If there are any scheduling conflicts, gBa must take precedence over the other clan. If this may be a problem for you, please reconsider your membership.

Founding Principles:

· We are friends FIRST. This clan was born from the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, attitudes and desires of a group of friends who wanted to create a fun, stress-free online gaming environment…a "family," if you will. Our #1 goal is to preserve the fun and enjoyment of the game for the members of this group.
· Along the same lines as the family mentality, we want to promote a positive atmosphere for members as well as visitors to our server. For that reason, we do not tolerate abusive language or poor attitudes.

Server Policy:

All of the below rules will be enforced by the gBa admins. Interpreting these rules is at their discretion.
· No cheating.
· Do not play in a way that disrupts normal game play.

Acceptable: Camping, spamming, being sneaky, being skillful.

Not acceptable: Intentionally delaying the game, team-killing.

· Be nice. Trash talk should never go beyond the friendly stage.
If someone takes offense to what you are saying, just STOP.

· No extreme vulgarity, racist remarks, or otherwise insulting language. This includes your name.
This is not just for the sake of any kidlets who may be on the server...some grown-ups don't like that language, either. Just don't do it.

· No message spamming.

· Obey the admins. (All admins are in the gBa clan)
If an admin (gBa member) asks you to refrain from a particular behavior, even if it doesn't violate any of the above rules, please comply. Their goal is to maintain a fun, non-offensive gaming atmosphere.

Consequences for not following the rules:
The gBa admins will take appropriate action depending on the severity of the offense. These actions will usually be taken in-game, but also could happen based on feedback or evidence sent to the admins.

· Warning: A minor offense will get you warned to discontinue whatever you are doing that violates one or more of the rules.
· Kick: If a warning is ignored, or the offense is more serious, you may be kicked out of the game.
· Ban: If a warning / kick is ignored, you will be banned. If the offense is very serious, then you may be banned without warning.

Banning can be either temporary or permanent. If this is not your first time to be banned, or your actions are deemed to be a severe violation by the admins, then you will be banned permanently. First-time bans are open to discussion after a week (you are welcome to address the issue on our forum).
